Heey! THE Dan Malone on Deviant Art! Sacred Armour Of Antiriad and Speedball 2 were some of my favorite games growing up :)

I actually have a rendition of one of your old works in my gallery: [link]

Just joined this site and I had to say high. I was obsessed with your work in the 90's in fact I still marvel at it now. What you could produce with such a limited palette and size was incredible. I still play the Chaos Engine and speedball 2 now for the nostalgia hit "nothing else out there gives me my fix"
All I wanted to do back in the 90's was leave school and get a job producing pixel art for the Amiga (r.i.p) But before I could leave the whole industry changed and those nasty arse graphics of the PSone took over. My passion for art died then. But in the last few years we are back together and I'm now enrolled in a digital arts course. I have years of lost practise to catch up on, but would love it if you could take a quick look at my stuff. After all it was you,Bisley,O'neill and Frank Miller that got me started in the first place! Cheers man, and I hope all is going well for you

Dan - sorry to post about something not art-related, but I've been trying to get in touch with you for a few months regarding the games mag interviews, but with no luck. Please drop me a line if you're still interested (email craiggrannell at googlemail.com or send a message via [link] ).
:icondanmalone:
no it's cool Craig. apologies I've been a bit out of the loop lately - too busy to think at the moment!

Hi!
I still use your Classic Amiga stuff for inspiration!

I remember seeing a screenie in Amiga Format way back in the day that showed Chaos Engine as a 3player with a slightly different style to the characters, I always loved that pic but lost it over the years, I don't suppose you have any of that stuff?

Your stuff is amazing, as you must hear, quite a lot ;)
:icondanmalone:
thanks Evarcha. not sure which image you mean.. but I've just put up one from way back for you to check out.

cheers
